v0 is Vercel’s AI development service. Describe the screen or application you want and it generates the design and the code. Beyond text, it works from screenshots, wireframes, and Figma designs to produce a coherent interface.
Early v0 focused on producing React UI code. It now builds full-stack web applications combining a database, external APIs, and sign-in, and can deploy them directly.

You revise conversationally while looking at the result — make this section narrower, reorder these on mobile. The code is visible too, which suits handing off to a developer after the AI has done the first pass.
Compared with Lovable and Figma Make
Lovable handles screens, authentication, and database together and suits going from a service idea to a working web app. Figma Make is strongest at turning existing Figma designs into something operable.
v0 connects naturally to the web stack Vercel is built around — Next.js and React — and is strong at bridging design and implementation. It is the easy choice when you plan to deploy on Vercel, or when a developer will take the generated code onward.
Cautions
A finished-looking interface does not mean form submission, post-login permissions, deletion, or payment are safe. Review the code and configuration before publishing, and test that what each user can see is correctly separated.
Generated code can also be more complex than your purpose needs. Rather than building an entire service at once, start with one key screen or feature and add only what you need.
