From description to running app
Lovable builds a working website or application from a description in ordinary language. Beyond the screens, it produces web apps that include a database, user authentication, and connections to outside services, refined through conversation.
The resulting code can be edited and synchronized with GitHub to continue in another environment. It works both as an entry point for people who cannot program and as a way for experienced developers to stand up a prototype quickly.

Rather than trying to finish from one instruction, it works better to state the users, the purpose, the screens needed, and the data to store, then revise while looking at the result.
Compared with Codex and Replit Agent
Codex is a coding agent that reads existing code and files and works through changes and tests across development environments. Lovable emphasizes getting from an idea to the look and mechanics of a web app inside one integrated browser environment.
Replit Agent also builds apps in a browser but covers a wider range of outputs and gives more freedom over the environment, including code editing and execution. Lovable is the more legible route when you want a web app quickly through conversation and preview, and both make vibe coding easy to experience.
Cautions
A screen that works does not mean security, personal data handling, billing logic, and deletion are correct. Before publishing anything with sign-in or payment, check permissions and database rules and test as a real user would.
Generation, revision, and cloud features may consume credits or metered charges. Starting with a small feature and settling the definition of done before widening scope keeps both cost and rework down.
