Many models in one place
Poe is the AI chat service from Quora. Models from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and Meta, image and video generation models, and bots built by users are all available from one website or app.
It suits people who want to try several assistants for different purposes rather than using one deeply. Claude for writing, another model for research, FLUX for images — all reselectable within the same account.
Models and bots are different things
Poe lists official bots that use a model directly alongside bots users have built with their own instructions and knowledge. A bot’s name does not necessarily tell you which model it uses or who made it.

- Try bots other people have published
For work, check the creator, the description, the model used, and any external connections. A name resembling a well-known service does not make it official.
Compared with ChatGPT and OpenRouter
The official ChatGPT and Claude apps present their own models and features most clearly. Poe lets you try many companies’ models, at the cost of not always having every feature the official apps offer.
OpenRouter also aggregates models but is aimed at developers building against an API. Poe suits people who want conversation and generation without writing code, and who want to find a bot for a purpose.

Poe consumes points that vary by model and feature. The same question costs more on a more capable model or with a longer answer. Before subscribing, check the point cost of the models you want and the usage limits.
