Suno's own documentation for Custom Mode, Reuse Prompt, and Creative Sliders was checked on 18 July 2026. You paste the result into Suno yourself.

1Choose how you are working

A new track, or reworking one you already have.

With vocals, or without lyrics.

2Decide what the track is about

Whose story, what scene, what feeling you want the track to carry.

Where it will be used: video, focused work, live performance.

Only if you have already decided. Type it exactly.

3Decide the direction of the sound

If there is more than one, put the closest first.

The feeling you want the track to leave.

A word like “slow” is fine if you do not know the number.

The sounds and textures you want out front.

Leave this empty for an instrumental.

How it opens, where it lifts, how it ends.

4Decide the lyrics

If you chose Instrumental, this step is left out of the result.

You can set what the lyrics describe separately from the track as a whole.

Who is singing, and to whom.

For example, mostly English with some Japanese.

Specific words or phrases you want in there.

Clichés and other wording you would rather not hear.

5Fill in what you are adjusting

When reworking with Reuse Prompt, paste the original Styles here.

Be specific about what bothered you when you listened.

Instruments, vocal styles, or turns you do not want.

6A guide to the Advanced options

Choose between a stable result and one that surprises you.

Choose how closely Suno should follow the Styles.

Enter the theme of the track, then specify as much of the sound and lyrics as you know.
